If you needed to get out of your home quickly, how long would it take you to get out of the door? Would you be scrambling around looking for your house keys? If you live in an apartment or condo, you might not have to worry about finding the keys to the front or back door. On the other hand, if you live in a house that requires a key for entering and exiting, then this tip may come in handy.
Most people put their keys on the kitchen counter or the dining room table when they get home. Some people actually hang them up on a hook near the front door. A nifty idea is to make an extra copy of your house key(s) and insert the key(s) into an empty pill bottle lined with paper to conceal its contents. The pill bottle containing your house keys could be hidden somewhere close to the front door or placed on your night stand for easy access. No one (except those reading this post) will know your most important keys are inside. If, by chance, you are someone who does not take prescription medicine, then you probably know someone who takes medicine. Chances are they probably have an empty pill bottle laying around their home.
